Change SMTP Server - Windows 10 Mail

This guide is for changing an existing email account's SMTP server from your ISP to StudioCoast only. If you need to setup a new Email account with Windows 10 Mail please click here.


 Step 1


Open up Windows 10 Mail. Select the cog icon in the bottom left hand corner and then select "Accounts" from the right sidebar. Next select your existing Email Account from the list.


 Step 2


Select the "Change mailbox sync settings" option at the bottom.

 


 Step 3


Scroll down to the very bottom and select "Advanced mailbox settings"


   Step 4


 Further options will be displayed at the bottom of this same window. Replace your existing  "Outgoing (SMTP) email server" information with the following:

Outgoing (SMTP) Email Server: Your outgoing mail server will be the same as your incoming mail server. On the end of your outgoing mail server add ":26:1". With 26 being the SMTP port number and 1 being for secure SSL. For example:
yourmailserver.studiocoast.com.au:26:1
Outgoing Sever Requires Authentiation: Yes (check this box)
Use the same user name and password for sending email: Yes (check this box)
Require SSL for outgoing mail: Yes (check this box)

 


   Step 5


After that, select "Done" and "Save" and you are complete!
