What SSL options are there to secure my site? 

There are two options available to secure your web site and enable features such as shopping carts and online order processing.

Option 1 Shared SSL

This is a free option available for any hosting plan. Shared SSL provides a secure address to your web site in the form of:

https://secure.server.studiocoast.com/sitename

This can be setup by sending through an email to Support.

A dedicated SSL certificate is needed if you wish to secure your domain name. For example: https://secure.yoursitename.com.au

Cost is $99 per year including all registration charges through GeoTrust or RapidSSL, depending on your requirements.

All certificates are single root and support 128bit encryption. They work with over 99% of browsers.
128bit encryption is the standard supported by web browsers.

Certificates require a dedicated IP address which will be allocated to your site for no extra cost automatically upon application.
