Where are your servers located?
All web hosting servers are situated in the PIPE Networks data centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Servers for backup features such as DNS and Mail may be located overseas.
What is your backup plan?
Web site data and databases are backed up at regular intervals to a separate backup server.
Each web server utilises RAID 1 to ensure that no data is lost in the case of a hard disk failure.
What size can my SQL databases and email accounts be?
The total storage space for all databases and email accounts under a single hosting plan must be equal to or less than the storage space allocation.
For example, on the Standard plan 200MB can be used for web space and up to an extra 200MB can be used for the databases and email accounts.
Can I purchase extra databases and/or storage space on my plan?
Yes, extra databases are $4 per month each while extra storage space can be purchased for $10 per month per 500MB.
Is excess usage charged?
Excess usage is not automatically billed on hosting accounts. Instead, accounts that consistently exceed their quota will be upgraded to a more suitable plan. Customers can optional choose to pay excess at a rate of $6/GB.
What are "Individual Domains"?
Separate domains are the amount of unique web sites you can have under a single hosting plan.
Each separate domain has its own root directory and mail accounts.
What are "Domain Pointers"?
Domain pointers are web site addresses that all point to a single site.
Can I install a custom ASP component?
Yes. A security assessment needs to be done by us prior to the installation of the component but in most cases there shouldn't be a problem.
