Setting up Email Accounts with Outlook 

Before you begin

Please check that you have Internet Access on your Computer that supports logging into outside mail servers.
If you are in an office environment the Network Administrator should be able confirm this for you.

Step 1

Open Outlook Express and Click the Tools Menu and then Click the Account Settings option.

Step 2

The following window will come up.
Click on New to create a new email account.

Step 3

In order to setup your Studiocoast account you will need to tick the Manually configure server settings or additional server types. Then click Next.

Step 4

The following window will appear.
You need to select Internet E-mail and then click Next.

Step 5

Next, enter your details.

For Incoming Mail Server type in the server listed in the Account Information email that came with your hosting account.

For Outgoing Mail Server you have two options:

1. Type in the mail server provided by your Internet Service Provider. This option is recommended and some ISPs now block access to mail servers other than their own. You may need to contact your Internet Service Provider to obtain this information.

2. Type in the outgoing server listed in the Account Information that came with your hosting account.

For your username please enter your entire email address.

After you have completed all of your details, please click next.

NOTE: Only follow this step if you are not using your Internet Service Provider's mail server.

Go into your account settings, select the email address and then click on Change.

Step 8

A new window will appear, please click the More Settings box.

Step 9

A new window will appear. Go to the Outgoing Server tab and then select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Then click ok.

Step 10

Close out all the windows you have open (Click Next and then Finish) in Outlook and your account should now be ready to go!
